YOUNG EARTH CREATIONIST DOUBLETHINK

This page is just for fun.  The following are some common contradictory positions a person encounters within Young Earth Creationist circles.  You may even recognise some used by Hovind.  

Evolution Theory says humans will become like gods.  Evolution Theory says people are nothing but animals.

Both evolutionists and creationists use the same evidence but viewed with different assumptions.  There is no evidence for evolution.

The Geologic Column is a result of a single global flood sorting creatures according to density or habitat.  The Geologic Column doesn't exist anywhere except in textbooks.

Matter can't be created or destroyed.  Everything was created.

No scientist dares speak out against the dogma of evolution.  Here are some quotes from famous scientists "admitting" Evolution Theory is false.

Uniformitarianism is an unsubstantiated assumption.  If you project <insert young Earth claim>  it means the Earth is only 6,000 years old.

The universal constants are finely tuned - change just one would make life impossible - therefore the Universe must have been created. The speed of light, radioactive decay rates, etc have changed dramatically over 6000 years.

Young Earth Creationism is based upon the absolute truth of the infallible Word of God.  Young Earth Creationism should be allowed into the science curriculum because there are many interpretations of truth.

Society is corrupted by Evolution Theory.  Society is corrupted because of the Original Sin starting with Adam and Eve.

Evolution Theory leads to racism because it implies some people are "better" than others.  Variation within a "kind" is micro-evolution which is completely compatible with a young Earth and the Bible.
