Jack Chick is the producer of what are known as Chick Tracts. These are short propaganda messages which are distributed across the world. The economics of the procedure are quite ingenious. People buy the tracts from Chick, then give these tracts away free. These pamphlets are an attempt to win converts to Protestant Fundamentalism. Apart from the usual "Jesus is the only way to heaven" and "Judgement Day is coming", Chick takes a swing at Catholics, Halloween, rock 'n roll, Jehovah Witnesses, Buddhists, Mormons, Hinduism, Wicca, Muslims, gays and science.
For the purpose of this analysis, we will focus only on the science issues.
What is the connection with Kent Hovind? Hovind claims he personally rewrote the latest version of the Big Daddy comic. He also sells all the anti evolution Chick Tracts through his web site. In return, Jack Chick sells Kent Hovind videos, provides a biography of Kent Hovind (including conversion testimonial) and numerous articles written about Kent Hovind (search engine results) Also, Chick references Hovind's material within his anti evolution tracts.
